Rochester Taxi Rates

NOTE: Taxicab drivers are to reach your destination by most direct route.
RATES: (Effective 10/20/2008)
  • First 1/6  —  $2.50
  • Each additional 1/6 mile  —  $.50
  • Waiting time (per hour)  —  $21.00
  • Each extra passenger  —  $2.00
  • Time call (minimum)  —  $5.00
  • Children (under age 6)  —  N/C
  • Senior discount (age 65)  —  $1.00
LUGGAGE:
(Rates apply only if driver assists)
  • Over 2 pieces per person (includes grocery bags)  —  $0.25
  • Footlocker/trunk (or their equivalent), bikes & animals (excluding wheelchairs & seeing eye dogs)  —  $3.00 ea.
  • Skis and golf bags  —  $2.00 ea.
AIRPORT MINIMUM RATE:
  • To or from airport  —  $10.00
Over one passenger
  • (each extra)  —  $2.50
CHARLOTTE AREA MINIMUM ZONE RATES:
(Add $1.00 for each extra passenger)
Zone А  —  $2.50
Zone B  —  $3.50
Zопе С  —  $4.00
REMEMBER:
  • Meter must be engaged on all trips.
  • There is no obligation to share a cab with other passengers.
  • Smoking is prohibited at all times by both the driver & passengers.
  • Receipts must be provided upon customer request.
  • Receipts must list: Name & Number of Driver, Cab Number, Date/Starting Time/Departure Location, Arrival Time & Location, Number of Passengers, Total Fare, and Police Telephone Number.
